Civil Assistant uses Terrain models (TIN models) created in other civil/survey software packages (host). The TIN model is read into RoadEng using LandXML. Procedure is quick and seamless.

Alignments can also be moved back and forth between RoadEng and the host software.

Civil Assistant is a subset of the full RoadEng. Since Civil Assistant requires a Terrain model, it will not work without a Host system.
