Terrain Tools V3.014 - Map Drawing Software

Softree Technical Systems Inc of Vancouver B.C. has announced the release of Terrain Tools Version 3.014, a surveying and mapping program developed for applications in the natural resource industries including forestry, exploration geology and environmental science.

Terrain Tools can best be described as cross between a GIS mapping program and a drawing program. The result is an easy to use drawing package that understands scales and map coordinates. Maps can be produced from data from a variety of sources including digitizing, field notes such as compass, clinometer and chain, GPS, digital coordinate files and scanned air photos or base maps.

New product features include configurable field note entry, rotation, scaling and display of bitmaps, output sheets with legends, tittle blocks, logos, enhanced digitizer support, user defined linetypes and symbols and other CAD functions.
