Softree Technical Systems Inc. of North Vancouver B.C. announced today the release of RoadEng Version 5, their terrain modeling and civil engineering software.  

Version 5 includes a long list of new and improved features, the most notable include:

• Support for Windows Vista^TM.

• Speed improvements for LIDAR modelling and display.

• Improved image support (Mr. SID, ECW, JPEG2000 and PNG).

• Display of projected and intersected features in profile or section.

• Reporting of mass-haul, overhaul, and freehaul.

• Improved templates, stripping and sub-cuts.

• Access to on-line resources.

• Real-time - 3D display enhancements.
