This is primarily a sales position. The
Technical Sales Representative will use his/her technical skills to
demonstrate to potential customers how and why our surveying, mapping and
civil engineering software products or services suit the customer. In addition to maintaining current clients and attracting new ones, the Technical Sales Representative will serve as a liaison between clients and Softree's support staff. Involvement in other tasks related to sales will be required, such as market research, preparation of proposals and identification of client purchasing needs and new products. Travel to trade shows and client locations will be required. Main Duties: · Inside sales calling. · Establish new accounts and service existing accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales calls and visits. · Participate in product presentations and demonstrations over the internet and at trade shows. · Responsible for managing CRM and sales contact data base. · Assist in creating sales aids: demo sites, demo videos/animations, etc. as required. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in surveying, mapping, civil engineering or related geo-science field. Work Experience Qualification: This is an entry level position but preference will be given to candidates with sales experience and/or a background in the natural resource industries or land development industries.
