COMPATIBILITY WITH PREVIOUS VERSIONS

Version 5.0 is file compatible with version 4.x. Although version 4.x will read 5.0 files new 5.0 data will not be visible in version 4.x and will be lost if the file is saved from version 4.x.  

There is no need to uninstall 4.1 before installing 5.0. If you wish to return to 4.1, reinstall 4.1 over 5.0. If you choose to uninstall a previous version, you may want to first back up your defaults and layouts (files in the RoadEng folder).

ENHANCEMENTS SINCE THE 5.0 RELEASE

The following features have been added to Softree products since the version 5.035 release June 15, 2007. Versions 5.000 to 5.034 were Beta test. 

The version number below is the first version of the software that contains the enhancement.

 The version number below is the last version of the software to exhibit the problem.

5.056	Oct 31, 2007	ipaq2410 wasn't retrieving unique device id properly.  Made changes to GetDeviceID for all Windows Mobile devices.
5.056	Oct 31, 2007	File Open dialog in Add/Remove Backgrounds wasn't listing all available background files.
5.058	Dec 5, 2007	Allowed port to continue listening even if laser gun goes out of range or falls asleep.
