Softree is pleased to announce the
completion of RoadEng and Terrain Tools Version 4. This new product has taken more than
three years to develop and represents a major step forward in
functionality, speed and ease of use.
V 4 is now a full fledged 32 bit
application which means it runs faster and is fully compatible with
the current Windows operating systems (98, 2000, ME, XP and NT). In
addition, we re-engineered the entire data base management to improve
performance, reliability and compatibility for use in both standalone
and network environments.
Version 4 includes a long list of new features to make
your work faster and easier. Some of the most notable are the new
survey adjustment history, station equations, 3D window, improved
import/export and a variety of user interface improvements such as
zoom and pan.
Capability
V4 is loaded with a variety of new features and
enhancements to make you more productive. At the same time, we
recognize that new features are useful only if they are easy to use.
That’s why we have taken special care to preserve our user-friendly
interface.
Speed
V4 runs faster than previous versions allowing you to
work efficiently with large data sets, images, and maps.
Accuracy
V4 is more accurate. All calculations are carried out
to 12 significant figures ensuring accurate calculations even when
large coordinates such as UTM are used. Earthwork quantities and
stationing calculations have also been improved.
Compatibility
As a 32 bit application, V4 is fully compatible with
current operating systems such as Windows 9x, 2000, XP and NT. V4 also
includes a new file management system which works better in a
networked environment.
