RoadEng allows you to alter either the vertical or horizontal alignments in cross section. Section design can be restricted to either vertical or horizontal. If curves exist they will be removed when the corresponding alignment section is changed.

Select the Section window and use View | Section Options to enable Vert Alignment. Use Edit | Auto Generate to place a PROFILE point on every Survey Station. You now have a vertical alignment where every section has a zero cut depth at center line. Do ALL your editing in the section window (you may have to click the right mouse initially to get the edit cursor) and use the arrow keys in the toolbar to move from section to section.

If you also wish to do horizontal alignment, enable Horz Alignment and also auto-generate PLAN points on survey stations.
