ASCII Coordinate Files

The Coordinate File Format is an ASCII file containing XYZ information for the designed subgrade and road surfacing layers. It can be used for exporting coordinate information to a total station for staking (blue-topping).

This format is created by choosing menu File - Save As and selecting Coordinate (*.TXT) in the Save file as type combo box.

Every point on the subgrade and road surfaces is saved as a line in the file in the following format:

PStation, LStation Flag, X, Y, Z, Code, H Offset, V Offset

Flag

-SG for subgrade
-SRF1 for 1st surface above subgrade
-SRF2 for 2nd surface above subgrade
-SRF3 for 3rd surface above subgrade

Code

default subgrade points

-SKL(R) slope stake
-DIL(R) ditch inside
-DOL(R) ditch outside
-REL(R) road edge
-CL centerline point

road surface points
-ST1L(R) bottom of surface (left side)
-SB1L(R) top of surface(left side)
